OF CERAMICS SANITARY WARE PRODUCTS
 

Background. Using the industrial, scientific, technical and export potential of such priority sector as construction is one of the strategic objectives in Ukraine. Construction products, in particular sanitary engineering products, occupy a special place in the modern system of world commodity markets, which are rapidly developing.
Careful organization of delivery of sanitary ware products is necessary both for large-scale construction and for individual use. At this stage, domestic industry only partially satisfies the needs of them.
The aim of the article is to analyse the market of ceramics sanitary ware products in Ukraine.
Material and methods. Methods of logical analysis and generalization of statistical data on production, export and import of goods were used; the Ukrainian Classification of Goods for Foreign Economic Activity, based on the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System, were applied in research.
Results. The world sanitary ware products market faced the crisis in 2013–2015. This negatively affected on demand, and as a result, the volume of sanitary ware production in general. In 2016, the situation changed, production increased by 7.7% compared to 2013. The leading producer countries such asChina, Poland, Germany and others demonstrated especially high growth rates in the production of sanitary ware.
Ukrainian ceramics sanitary ware products market is in a difficult position. This is due to the hryvnia exchange rate, which has led to an increase in the cost of imported sanitary ware products, as well as the political situation in the country. The production declined in 2013. In 2016, the ceramic sanitary ware production in Ukraine increased by 26.6 % compared to 2015.
The volume of imports of ceramics sanitary ware products over the past 7 years decreased almost 3 times compared to 2011. The main importer of ceramics sanitary ware is Poland, whose deliveries in 2017 reached a mark of 40 % (cost $ 4,848 thousand).
The dynamics of export supplies of ceramics sanitary ware products to the main counterparty countries by Ukrainian producers is negative, it decreased by 52 % in general over the past 7 years. Until recently, Russian Federation was the largest consumer of Ukrainian ceramics sanitary ware products, but now the Ukrainian export structure is going to focus on the western direction. Poland has occupied the first place among the countries where Ukrainian ceramics sanitary ware products are supplied. Romania, Slovakia, Germany have appeared in the list of partner countries purchasing domestic Ukrainian ceramics sanitary ware products.
Conclusion. The world sanitary ware products market survived experienced crisis in 2013–2015. This negatively affected on demand, and as a result, the volume of sanitary ware products production in general. The production fell in 2013 in Ukraine. This is due to economic and political crises in the country. The volume of imports of ceramics sanitary ware decreased in this period compared to 2011 almost 3 times. Starting from 2016, import volumes recovered and continued their annual growth.
The dynamics of export supplies of ceramics sanitary ware is negative, it decreased by 52 % in general over the past 7 years. In general, in 2017, the export of ceramics sanitary ware significantly exceeded imports, this points to positive development in the industry and is based on the country's policy on import substitution.
